Precision Dental Plasters in Egypt

(1 products)

In the world of restorative and laboratory dentistry, the accuracy of the final prosthetic is heavily dependent on the quality of the dental plasters used for model fabrication. Whether you are creating a simple diagnostic cast or a complex master model for a fixed bridge, choosing the right dental plasters ensures that every detail of the impression is captured without distortion. At MedSTA, we provide a comprehensive range of dental plasters to the Egyptian market, including Type II (plaster), Type III (yellow stone), and Type IV (high-strength die stone). Our selection of dental plasters is sourced to provide consistent setting times and exceptional surface hardness, meeting the rigorous demands of both commercial dental labs and university clinics across Egypt.

How to Choose Dental Plasters:

  • Linear Expansion (Precision): For master models and dies, use Type IV dental plasters. These must have a very low expansion rate (under 0.10%) to ensure crowns and bridges fit accurately on the final preparation.

  • Compressive Strength (Application):

    • Type III Plasters: Ideal for study models and orthodontic bases; they provide a cost-effective balance of strength and ease of trimming.

    • Type IV/V Plasters: Required for high-stress work where surface hardness is critical to prevent abrasion during wax-up.

  • Moisture-Resistant Storage: In humid environments (common in coastal cities like Alexandria), store plaster in airtight containers. Moisture contamination causes "slow set" and severely compromises the material's final strength.

  • Water-to-Powder Ratio: Strictly follow manufacturer guidelines. Using excess water to make the mix "easier to pour" will significantly decrease compressive strength and increase the likelihood of the model fracturing during separation from the impression.
