Workshops start on 2 September
The congress dates are 2 to 4 September. But six workshops run on 1 September.
Book your travel around the congress dates and you miss that whole day. It holds six sessions. They cover botox, endo retreatment, bone grafting, a Graphy ortho course, and CBCT planning.

Five workshops start at the same hour on day one
This is the second thing the programme page hides.
Five workshops all begin at 9 AM on 1 September. They are endo retreatment, bone grafting, the Graphy course, ortho finishing, and CBCT planning.
You can sit in one. Choose before you arrive. Three of the five run six hours and one runs eight.
The same thing happens on 3 September. Four more start between 9 and 10 AM.

Aesthetic is the biggest track with six. Ortho has five. Surgery has four. Pedo, CBCT and laser have one each.

What a hands-on session actually costs you
Some workshops give you everything. Many ask you to bring your own kit. Ask which, because it changes the real price of a seat.

Add this to the seat price before you decide. An eight hour course where you bring your own kit costs more than the ticket says.
What to bring to a hands-on session
- Loupes if you own them, above all for the endo and veneer sessions
- Your own handpiece, unless they have told you one is there
- The kit listed above, unless the workshop says otherwise in writing
- A notebook, because eight hour days cover more than you will recall
- Your syndicate membership card for registration
Ask one thing before you pay. Does the fee include kit? The answer can move the cost by hundreds of pounds.
EDSIC or IDEX: where your budget should go
The two events fall three weeks apart. IDEX runs 13 to 15 August in New Cairo. EDSIC runs 1 to 4 September in Heliopolis. Most dentists in Egypt pay for one.
They are not two versions of the same thing.
EDSIC is a teaching event. You buy a seat and CE hours. The value is a new skill, taught by a named expert. There is a show floor, but it is not the point.
IDEX is a buying floor. You buy kit and stock, from 350 sellers across 20,000 square metres. There are lectures, but the floor is the point.
Pick EDSIC if you need training. Pick IDEX if you need a unit, an autoclave, or a year of stock. If your clinic is already kitted out, EDSIC gives you more that lasts.
Registration and what a seat includes
You sign up on the official EDSIC site. It lists early bird pricing for a short window. Workshop seats are booked apart from the congress. Several fill early, above all the certificate courses.
The Egyptian Dental Syndicate runs the congress. The venue is the InterContinental Citystars in Cairo.
Get in writing what the fee covers. Ask about kit and about the certificate.
