COMPOSITION:
aluminium chloride 20%, water Ph. Eur., excipients.

INTENDED USE
ALUSTAT FOAM is intended for use during dental treatment to staunch slight gingival bleedings.
Aluminium chloride in the product has the vasoconstrictive effect on tiny blood vessels, as a result of which the gingival swelling and slight bleedings decrease.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use for patients who are hypersensitive to the product components.

PRECAUTIONS
Before taking an impression, ensure that you remove the preparation to avoid inhibiting the polymerisation of the impression material. Aluminium chloride can adversely affect the bonding strength of dentin to tooth restoration materials. ALUSTAT FOAM has cytotoxic potential. The use of products with aluminium chloride contents may cause local and temporary tissue damage.
Irritating to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water. Seek medical advice. Use a cofferdam, disposable gloves, safety goggles/visors and protective clothing when handling the product. Keep out of reach of children.
Any serious incident involving the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the State in which the user or patient is domiciled.
