Cerkamed BIO MTA+ 0.14 g

Cerkamed BIO MTA+ 0.14g is a premium Polish-made mineral trioxide aggregate biomaterial in Egypt for filling and rebuilding root canals, combining calcium-silicon chemistry with hydroxyapatite for genuine bone-tissue integration.

COMPOSITION:
BIO MTA+ powder: oxides of calcium, silicon, iron, aluminium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite (approx. 3/4 of the total), and bismuth and zirconium oxide.
BIO MTA+ liquid: Ph. Eur. purified water, calcium catalyst.

The high content of calcium ions remineralises tooth tissue; calcium-silicon compounds support tissue reconstruction after wall perforation and intracanal resorption. BIO MTA+ contains hydroxyapatite, a natural bone component, which integrates the compound into the bone structure. BIO MTA+ is not suitable as a standalone permanent root canal filling. Once mixed, it stays plastic and cohesive without brittling or sticking to instruments — easier to place than traditional MTA. It is radiopaque and meets EN ISO 6876.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in inflammatory conditions — acidic pH disrupts setting. Not suitable as a full root canal filling, as removal would be difficult. Do not mix the powder with water or other fluids — use only the BIO MTA+ liquid.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Causes serious eye damage; irritating to oral mucosa and skin; may cause respiratory irritation. Moisture (including blood) reduces curing time. Discolouration may occur. Use a rubber dam, disposable gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing when handling. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water; if swallowed, rinse the mouth with water and do not induce vomiting.

How to Use

1. Cut off the BIO MTA+ liquid pipette tip.
2. Move the entire contents of the powder vial onto a mixing plate with 1–2 drops of liquid.
3. Mix with a spatula for approximately 30 seconds until the consistency of soft modelling clay (add one more drop of liquid if too thick or brittle).
4. Place the compound at the target site with an applicator within 4 minutes of mixing (working time). Setting time is approximately 180 minutes.
