Clinical Cases in OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY 2022

To write a book on Clinical Cases in Obstetrics and Gynecology was my long cherished dream
which has now come true. Most of the common clinical cases are covered in this book. The book
is compact and each topic covers introduction, etiopathology, clinical features and complete
management including recent advances. The chapters of Anemia and Pregnancy-induced
Hypertension are discussed in detail. Special points for history and examination are mentioned
at the end of each chapter. Many important facts are tabulated for easy remembering. I hope
this manual will be useful not only to undergraduate and postgraduate students but also to the
practicing obstetrics and gynecological specialists.
Eight eminent authorities all over India have contributed chapters in my book. I am extremely
thankful to them for their valuable contribution. I do recognize my limitations and if there
are any mistakes I accept the full responsibility for the same. I would heartily welcome any
suggestions and corrections for my book.
I am extremely thankful to Shri SK Nanda, Secretary, Department of Health and Family
Welfare, Government of Gujarat; Shri VA Sathe, Commissioner, Department of Health, Medical
Services and Medical Education, and Dr Suresh C Shah, Additional Director, Medical Education,
Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, for having given me permission to publish this book.
I am also grateful to Sadhanaben Joshi, Dean, BJ Medical College, for approving my book for
publication.
I am also thankful to my friends and my students, for their direct or indirect help in preparing
this book. Lastly the sympathetic help, support and sacrifice of my wife Dr Manisha and my near
and dear ones Binal and Fenil are deeply acknowledged with love.
