Grit and Color Coding: The system uses a four-step process, with each step indicated by a specific color:
- Black: Coarse grit for contouring.
- Violet: Medium grit for finishing.
- Green: Fine grit for polishing.
- Red: Superfine grit for superpolishing.
- Sizes: The disks are available in two diameters: standard (12 mm) and mini (8 mm).
- Design: They feature an elastic silicone shank mount for easy and secure placement onto the mandrel. The thin, flexible disks and lack of a metal center allow easy access to interproximal areas while minimizing the risk of gouging or discoloration.
- Material: Black and violet disks use silicon carbide, while green and red disks (both standard and the X-Treme versions) use aluminum oxide grit.
